Accounts Receivable Clerk
St. John Cemetery now encompasses approximately 190 acres here in the community of Middle Village, NY. St. John Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries, and serves as the main office for our Catholic Cemeteries. Today, Saint John’s Cemetery Corporation owns and operates all the cemeteries for families of the Brooklyn Diocese, including Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, Mt. St. Mary Cemetery in Flushing, and St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries located in Farmingdale, Long Island.
We are currently seeking a accounts receivable clerk for our accounting department. We are looking for a excellent communicator to speak with families in person and over the phone for collection and A/R responsibilities. Must be proficient in Word & Excel & have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Accounts Receivable Clerk Job Responsibilities:
- Entering customer payments into our accounting system
- Processing customer payments, refunds, and adjustments
- Reconciling customer accounts and identifying discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate customer files
- Researching and resolving customer inquiries
- Assisting with month-end closing activities
